First Shows of the New Year

Huey Lewis and the News played their first shows of 1998 in Robinsonville, Mississippi on January 23-24. The band rocked the "Bluesville nightclub" for four outstanding shows in just two nights. Audiences enjoyed hearing all of the band's hit songs, plus a few of the band's new tunes. An added bonus to this venue was that a dance floor paved the way to the stage and fans took full advantage of that. Most of the people were up dancing, clapping, and having a great time throughout each of the concerts.
Some of the songs played were: Some Kind of Wonderful, 60 Minute Man, It's Alright, Heart & Soul, So Little Kindness, Surely, I Ain't Perfect, Plan B, I Never Think About You, Couple Days Off, and of course the band played all the major hits! The band also decided to play "Hope you love me like you say you do" since Mike Duke, the man who wrote that song, was in attendance.
For those who missed seeing the band in MS, Huey and the News will be
touring various cities this year. The next shows scheduled are in April
when the guys will once again return to Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas,
NV. The latest tour date information is posted on the tour
dates page.
