Here's an excerp from an interesting e'mail we recently received:

Thought I'd drop you a note to let you know that the band is referenced a few times in a time travel novel I recently published called Timely Persuasion.  It's the story of music critic who goes back in time to prevent the death of his sister.  A piece of autographed Huey Lewis memorabilia plays a key role in one of the narrator's first jaunts through time.

You can learn more about the book at www.timelypersuasion.com.  There is also a free online version of the novel available at reader.timelypersuasion.com.  If you want to just jump to the Huey specific material, his overt mention is in chapter 3, with additional references in chapters 4, 15, and 20.  Figured you might get a kick out of it.

Hmmm, must be me, but I can't find a way to get past the first 10 pages without purchasing the book...

I like the start of it though...

Doggone this MSNTV contraption ...   I tried to read the above chapter excerpts, but, got the error message:

You have an old version of Adobe Flash Player.  To use iPaper you need to get the latest Flash player.

"wow"  wink  Guess I'll just have to purchase the book!

That's the second novel - that I'm aware of - with mention of Huey.

If I recall correctly, the first mention was by a forum poster named Lea  (Leanne Banks)  who authored the romance novel (Feet First) with several references to Huey in the novel.  Anyone know of any others  ???

Thanks, Missy, it worked.  Reading chapter four.

Not the same girl, hueyfan1, but I feel your boredom.  I'm currently working on a book... set in Montana.... in January and I'm TOTALLY a warm weather girl.  All sympathy is appreciated.  I'm trying to find a way to mention Huey or HLN in this book.:)

So glad you keep the posts coming....

All the very best to you.:)

Hello.  I'm the author of Timely Persuasion and just wanted to drop in to thank Deb for posting about it and all of you for taking a look.  Happy to answer any questions or hear any feedback (positive or negative).

I've also been a Huey fan since BTTF, bought Plan B on the day it came out and have seen the band live three times.

Thanks for your time and support!

Although I'm not a literary critic ...

I thoroughly enjoyed your work, right from the first taste of what was yet to come --

which really had nothing to do with famous rockers other than to be one of the catalyst means by which you transport your fictional character(s) back in time throughout this visually conceptual sci-fi --

that, by the way, was totally believable all without breaking the laws of physics.  I also liked the fact that you use the mind and not the proverbial time machine or wormhole to accomplish this.

Again, thoroughly enjoyed it, and by the way, you absolutely did choose the right ending.

I hadn't thought of the theory of relativity since my physics class in college.  LOL

Hats off to all your creativity, Jacob !!!
