I guess the marketing strategy will depend largely on what the band wish to achive from a new recording.

‘O’ Dave when I seen the amazon gift-wrap I crossed my fingers for the album as…

 ‘Tis the Season’...
Your Broadway walk could have been in a mini-skirt made of gift-wrap with a string of lights to accessorize.

I second that mate!! How is that so many second rate olderacts still make it down under, yet a true classic rock band like HLN never does!? I know I always say this but there definitely a live market for HLN over here in OZ & N.Z. (not to mention other parts of the world they haven't been to in 20 + years).
Does the band not realize it's popularity overseas or is it really just such a pain in the butt to tour the world after so many years?

When the new Cd is released, they will be able to do a Solar System tour. Space travel will be available then. And I am trying to figure what I am going to order at The Blarney Stone.

HA!  Sorry I couldn't resist.

Hopefully the only thing that happens at NASA BEFORE the Cd is released is the stoppage of the Rocket launches, which is in 2012 I believe?

You can think all day about what you're going to order... but, if I was you, I would be more concernced about figuring out what kind of speedo to wear.
