Back in the 80's a buddy of mine sponsored a Indy car team for a number of years, his first driver was the late great Tim Richmond and he was driving for us that first year and took the rookie standing. After that we picked up Emo, this guy was a whole different ball game but he did win it for us one year. I met some great people while down there for the month at a time and I remember Huey and some of the guys coming there and to the house my friend had.  I forget the year he was down there but I remember he was one heck of a good person. Over the years, as with all of us our lives have changed some for the better, some time has caught up with all the crazy things we did when we were young and foolish. Time has caught up with me the last few years and I haven't been able to get out much and it's a pain being I use to do lighting and sound for a lot of bands over the years. I did get to see Huey and the News in 08 at Binon's in Hammond and will luckily be there again on the 16 of April, I hope that they will have a meet and greet and I get a chance to re-introduce myself to Huey and the guys. The concert in 08 was great and I know that this one will be just as good. I lost all my old pictures due to some flooding and will again this show start to retake and remember the past.  The only question I have is I can't remember what year I met him down at Indy. He was in the UNO room right at the entrance to Gasoline Alley then we went up to the one they had on the straight away I think it was NO. 25  If anyone remember what year it was I would love to find out? can't wait till the 16 and hear some good ole rock and roll by one of the best perfoming bands around.

Yea T4Cats, I've been very lucky to have a friend who was not only rich as sin but also one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet. I had the good luck of meeting a lot of well know people through him, Huey and the guys, John Cougar Mellencamp and his band, Kenny Rodgers and many others, not to mention all the race car driver in both Indy and NASCAR over a 25 yr period. Even got to meet some top politicians but few of them left any lasting impressions on me. The one person who impressed me the most was Father Martin Jenco, he knew me from when I was knee high to a grasshopper and when he was released from captivity in Lebonan the Feds cut off his security once he landed in Chicago.  I happen to be with his nephew when he made the press confrence about the release with then Gov Thompson at a local Theater. When he told me what the Feds we going to do I offered to provide bodyguards for Father once he landed and for how ever long he needed them. I got a few of my local PD friends and some Navy Seal buddies I had the honor of serving with and Father was safer than a any thing the Fed could provide. The local (Chicago) and Nation press hated us and never did figure out who we were but they didn't press their luck and we didn't have to hurt any of them.LOL. I still to this day hate press people, nothing but a pain in the backside.
