With all the dates I see popping up for Huey & the News it makes me wonder why he never comes to the Omaha area? He played here once and that was over 10 years ago when he did a tour of baseball parks.  HUEY COME BACK. There are a number of places in the area for you to play including 3 casinos across the river. I know the news has played in a lot of smaller markets then Omaha over the years, it just makes me wonder why.

It is a long story, but a few years ago they played a private show there which resulted in the famous "trumpet, thong, and cheez-whiz incident." Tthey haven't been allowed in the area since.

On the other hand, probably no venues/promoters have booked them because they don't know people are interested. For more please read the first question and answer in the FAQ.

Oh Chuck's just being cagey... I can't believe that the guy who comes up with all those news articles hasn't already heard about this.  I'm sure this is just a cover so we don't start badgering him for details.

Joe, you're a terrible tease.  And yes I googled trumpet thong cheez whiz with no luck.  The combination boggles my mind, but maybe it's because I don't get out very much.:)
